I have always been an extremely active and outgoing person. When I was
younger I was always bouncing off the walls both indoors and outdoors.
More than anything I love traveling, being outdoors, serving the
Lord, and helping people. I have an A student but I also work very hard
for my grades. I have run my whole life but joined the track and
Cross-country teams when I was a Freshman. I also am in clubs: world
without Boards, foreign film club, foreign exchange club, and
Fellowship Christian Athletes. Things seemed like life was perfect my
freshman and early sophomore year. I hung out with my friends every
weekend, played on three sports teams and loved it, and had the most
fun of my life. But then mid sophomore year I was diagnosed with anorexia. I fought hard and struggled but after the summer going into my
junior year I was pronounced ok. I went through months of therapy what
seems like millions of doctor appointments, millions of tears, and a
bunch of emotional pain, but through it all my friends, family, and God
helped me through all the pain. These three groups are the only reason
that I am ok. To me it seemed like I was in a losing battle; however,
when I came back from the Nazerene Youth Conference something changed
and my eating habits improved greatly. Somehow the lord told me i was
done with the fight and he helped me to start healing. Now I am a
Junior, my grades are still A’s, I am still in all the same clubs
sports and activities. My life is back to normal but I am forever
changed. My hardships really separated me from the world but looking
back now, it really deepened my walk with the lord. Today i am active
and loving life!!
